Cisco in Legal Hassle Over Trademark with University

You can expect large tech corporations to run into legal battles over trademarks with concerns in their own fields, but Cisco has an unexpected legal fight on their hands with a North Carolina institution of higher learning.

ECU registered a trademark on the phrase in August of 2010. In its filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, it claims use of the phrase in connection with "education services in the nature of courses at the university level."
